HALCO® rubber PSA hook and loop tape in 1″ or 2″ width is the standard product. Hook goes on the display frame or wall and stays permanently. Loop goes on the back of the graphic. The hook and loop engagement allows the graphic to be removed and replaced without damage. Halco stocks rubber PSA hook and loop in widths from ½″ to 6″ and ships the same day. For applications where the fastener needs to be concealed behind a flat graphic panel, HALCO® Low Profile Hook and Loop sits at roughly half the thickness of standard hook and loop.

Halco R4 rubber adhesive works well on all three — it grabs immediately on the paper face of foam core, the wood-fiber veneer of Gator Board, and rigid PVC (Sintra). For Gator Board installations lasting more than a few months, acrylic adhesive provides better long-term hold. Clean surfaces with isopropyl alcohol before application.

Vinyl banner material is PVC, which contains plasticizers that migrate into rubber-based adhesives and break down the bond over time. If you are using rubber adhesive hook and loop on vinyl and seeing failures — especially on banners stored with adhesive in vinyl contact — plasticizer migration is the cause. Acrylic adhesive resists plasticizer migration and is the recommended adhesive for hook and loop on vinyl substrates. Many fabricators sew hook and loop directly to vinyl, avoiding the adhesive issue entirely. For applications requiring the highest level of plasticizer resistance, Halco can also laminate 3M 9472LE (300LSE acrylic transfer tape) directly onto hook and loop as a custom converting option — this is typically identified by a Halco sales representative after evaluating the application.

Double-coated PET film tape — often compared to or called out as Killer Red* — is the standard for bonding to acrylic substrates. Its modified acrylic adhesive bonds to acrylic sheet, UV-coated graphics, plastics, and powder-coated surfaces, and performs well both indoors and outdoors. Halco stocks this tape and ships same day.

VHB Acrylic Foam Tape is for permanent installations that need to hold for months or years — exterior channel letters, ADA and wayfinding signage, architectural displays, theater stage construction. It is a premium product with pricing to match. Standard double-sided foam tape is for shorter-term and temporary displays — stack layers to create a dimensional pop-out effect where the graphic projects from the wall with a shadow behind it. For seasonal POP displays where graphics change regularly, removable foam tape (permanent one side, removable the other) provides clean graphic changes without surface damage. Halco stocks all three.

Standard woven hook and loop creates a visible gap between a graphic panel and the display surface. HALCO® Low Profile Hook and Loop uses a molded hook paired with knit loop at roughly half the engaged thickness — the graphic sits nearly flush and the fastener is concealed. Halco stocks low profile on compact 27.5-yard rolls and 55-yard rolls.

For production programs requiring specific cut lengths, Halco converts to exact dimensions, labels, packages and ships to specific customer requirements. Mated sets, kiss-cut coins on spool-wound rolls, kiss-cut strips on a roll, and die-cut shapes are also available with a typical 3–5 day lead time.
