HALCO® FR Hook and Loop
HALCO® FR Hook and Loop is a flame retardant hook and loop tape engineered for aerospace, automotive, industrial, and FR workwear applications where fire resistance and compliance are required. Manufactured from 100% woven nylon with a fire-retardant coating, this fastener delivers strong peel and shear strength with excellent cycle life.
Complies with UL 94 V-2, FAR 25.853, FMVSS 302, UL 2043, and NEC 300.22 (C) and (D). Commonly evaluated as an alternative to Velcro® Brand Fire Retardant Sew-On Tape. (Velcro® is a registered trademark of Velcro Companies.)
Available with plain back for sew-on applications, with pre-coated FR adhesive backings, or custom laminated with fire retardant pressure sensitive adhesives from suppliers like Avery Dennison to meet specific regulatory requirements. For sustained high-heat applications such as welding apparel and foundry workwear, consider HALCO® Heat Resistant Hook and Loop.

Product Technical Data
HALCO® FR Hook and Loop is available in 1/2″ to 7″ widths on 27.5-yard, 50-yard, and 1100-yard rolls, slittable to custom widths. Die-cut shapes and cut lengths available.
Delivers 1.12 lb/in peel and 22.7 lb/in² shear with excellent cycle life durability — only 50% strength reduction at 20,000 cycles.
