HALCO® Type 2 Molded Hook
HALCO® Type 2 Molded Hook delivers 5x the peel strength of Type 1 (2.0 lb/in vs. 0.4 lb/in) while maintaining a low-profile format at 71 mils engaged thickness. This makes it the right choice when you need stronger engagement than Type 1 but don’t require the heavier shear strength of Type 3.
Widely used in medical devices, automotive trim, display graphics, and industrial applications where a balance of peel strength, shear strength, and slim profile is required.

Product Technical Data
HALCO® Type 2 Molded Hook pairs with knit loop for strong engagement in a low-profile format: 2.0 lb/in peel, 24.5 lb/in² shear, 71 mil engaged thickness. Moderate cycle life (40% reduction at 2,000 cycles) makes it suitable for closures with regular but not excessive use.
Available in 1/2″ – 12″ widths, slittable to custom widths. Plain back for sewing or with adhesive, fabric, suede, and loop (Back2Back) backings.
